Hi, I’m Michal (pronounced “me-CALL”). As an editor, I specialize in proofreading, beta reading, and sensitivity reading to do what I love: help you share your story and feel heard. I’m especially interested in fantasy, young adult, and memoir manuscripts.
In me, you’ll find an empathetic reader who gives detail-oriented, constructive feedback. I’m an advocate for diversity and inclusion, and excited to support you and your experiences.
I consider myself a lifelong learner driven by creative endeavors. I double majored in English Literature & Creative Writing and Theatre, then went on to learn and apply cultural anthropology and arts in trauma healing while earning my Master’s in World Arts. I regularly take workshops and classes to stay sharp and keep growing. I’ve managed an independent bookstore, led international multicultural programs, and worked closely with writers of all kinds to unlock the power of their stories.
I spend my free time crashing through the woods, improvising in the kitchen, playing video games, and seeking local recommendations on adventures to new places.

Broad strokes overview feedback on your novel, book-length nonfiction, or memoir manuscript. You’ll receive a summary response to your manuscript’s strengths and opportunities for growth.
Proofreading ($0.02/word - $99 minimum)
Classic redlining. Detailed copyediting for grammar, punctuation, and typos. Intended for complete manuscripts which have already undergone thorough line and developmental edits.
